About Me

Hello! My name  is Elora Kiesel; I am a 2027 Jump Seat prospect from Austin Texas, and I have been riding for 10 years and competing for 5. Horses have been something that I have been passionate about since I was three, constantly asking for lessons and a pony. I got lessons once I was 6 and my first horse when I was 12, before that having leased 4 different horses. A big part of my riding journey has always been that I have ridden and leased many different horses. This was hard for me at first, never feeling like I could progress because I was consistently having to start over, sometimes on green horses; Though, I soon found though that this made me a much better rider, I was always getting experience on different types of horses. Even once I got my own horse, he got injured and I catch rode all around my barn and then have leased 3 different horses since. My most recent lease is on an equitation horse meant to take me to the junior equitation.

I am a very hard worker, riding 5 days a week on top of balancing school and homework. I attend school at Hyde Park Upper School in Austin, TX. Having to balance this with riding has helped me learn time management and how to communicate well with coaches and teachers to maintain good grades and my own fitness alongside riding and shows. I still catch ride at my barn a lot, exercising horses that need it and helping my trainer with tasks around the barn on the weekends and in the summers. This had made me good with adjusting to new rides and a versatile rider. Outside of riding I enjoy singing, camping and being outdoors, watching movies, and hanging out with friends, although my main focus remains on riding.
